The Project Eternity Kickstarter was a huge success, which is awesome. Now we just have to wait and see what they come up with.
NWN2 Facelift Pack
If you love playing NWN2/its expansions, or even if you've never played it but might be willing to try it sometime... This in progress mod may be of interest to you. For those of you who've played NWN2: Yes, this means elves that don't look so strange. This mod is creating new and very nice looking faces to replace the default heads of all the player races (though I think you can choose to have them as well as the defaults so they don't override the originals) and the companion NPCs. Currently there are human, aasimar, half-elf, sun elf, drow, and wood elf heads that you can grab along with new heads for Bevil, Neeshka and Elanee. The original campaign is being done first, then it will probably move onto heads, races and companions from the expansions, MotB and then SoZ (I can't wait to see a decent looking face on Gann that looks at least a bit more like his drawn portrait).
Also, on the subject of NWN2:
This tells you how to get rid of the ECL level adjustments on whatever player races you want (and explains that the ECL on genasi are apparently implemented wrong in NWN2 anyway).
And you can put custom portraits on your NWN2 character like those on the companions in NWN2: MotB.
BGEE came out last month too, and while I haven't played through it myself I did take a look at the Black Pits (a small add-on adventure). I am planning to play through BGEE, I'm just waiting until most of the bugs have been ironed out (they seem to be pretty good with supplying patches).
So, the Black Pits:
I found it interesting and entertaining, I loved being able to play a new adventure in the infinity engine. It wasn't very long, so as much as I dislike DLC I am kinda hoping that they put out some sort of sequel to it or something as DLC, or with BG2EE (but with more maps and exploring and adventuring and questing).
Lastly, the Valen Flirtpack has finally been released! (Thanks to Auddi picking it up and doing an awesome job of speeding along with progress on it) Check here for more details (you'll need to register to download it).

DA Survey!
I've seen this pop up around and wondered where it was coming from, then actually read the topic about it :P So here we go!
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Going by my first account (whoops, seems I've had... four? XD) since March 6, 2003. So 12 years.
2. What does your username mean?
Nightshade, just swapped around. Because deadly nightshade, plants and poison :D
3. Describe yourself in three words.
Inspired, random, morbid.
4. Are you left or right handed?
Right, I wish I could use both, siiigh.
5. What was your first deviation?
No idea as I deleted my deviations on that account. The first on this one would be my hand por
I'm still here!
Wow, it's been almost two years since I last updated this journal. Whoops ^^;
Please excuse my flood of deviations. I suddenly realized that I'd been neglecting this place. But taadaa, proof that I have actually still been creating art-like things.
So let's see what has happened regarding games and Kickstarters...
Here are some of those Kickstarters
Divinity: Original Sin is complete.
Shadowrun Returns is complete along with a standalone DLC called Dragonfall.
Wasteland 2 is complete.
Project Eternity, now Pillars of Eternity just released!
Torment: Tides of Numenera is currently still in development.
You can get most of these Kickst
Torment and Shroud of the Avatar Kickstarters.
There have been a number of interesting game kickstarters popping up, and they still are.
First of all we have:
Torment: Tides of Numenera
The people who did the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter have another one going for a game that is inspired by Planescape: Torment. It isn't set in the planescape universe, instead it will be set in Numenera, a new RPG setting. It seems to be isometric, with companions and plenty of dialogue like PST had, though! You will get to choose the gender of your character this time :D Which I am thrilled about. It looks like it will be a pretty interesting game, and with George Ziets (NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer) and now
Project Eternity, an Obsidian Kickstarter
First off, I like to read and keep up with a few webcomics. When I saw the Earthsong webcomic asking for guest strips I thought I'd give it a go (and promptly went overboard making what should have been a simple and amusing page complicated with lots of brain-devouring backgrounds), so I made two guest comic pages, you can see them here (I'm Serilyn). I'll probably pop them up here later, and might put some of those individual panels up at a size where you can see them decently too.

While I'm at it, I might as well mention the Petals and Thorns forums. They're primarily a female gamers forum though there are a few sections for other t

I have stumbled onto NWN2 facelift pack quite by accident and am using it ever since. I can't wait till she gets to do moon elf heads. As well as Gann's. He needs some fixing. Now.
And I'm thoroughly enjoying BGEE as BGTUTU never worked for me
