Sarisina by ShadesofNight Sarisina by ShadesofNight
So! With encouragement, I finally picked up some of the bottles of coloured ink I got myself on a whim years ago. I think the one I thought was black ink is actually brown though (meant for sepia tones). Thus the lineart is brown ink with a... quill pen I guess? You can't actually put ink in it, it just has a metal nib that you need to keep dipping back into the ink. Not terribly good for consistant flowing lines, but I did kinda like the way it could fade off with small lines. Until it caught in the paper texture of course XD Then I used the red ink with... It's basically a stick of wood cut with a wedge tip. It's fairly absorbent (bamboo?) so it worked decently for filling in colour. There both things I used way back in high school (how did I get them?). The results were interesting. I'm thinking bristol board will work better in terms of the quill not catching as much.

Anyhow, this is Sarisina, my cyborg that I made up to poke around The Old Republic with.

I ranted already but I really like how you managed to get the ink to accent her facial structure instead to hide it. And how it feels natural when the ink fades away that the shadows do too :)

Also, all the red feels like the bad omen for all of Sari's crew ;) She's still the ship's primary medic, no?
